We’re Excited to Be at Safety September 12, 2026!

🛡️ We’re Joining Safety Saturday on September 12! 🛡️

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Rogue Valley Mall

Good morning, everyone! We’re excited to share that Jackson County Vector Control District will have a full booth at Safety Saturday this year, happening September 12 from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Rogue Valley Mall.

This annual event brings together local agencies, organizations, and community partners for a fun, family‑friendly day focused on safety, preparedness, and public health. The Medford Police Department is coordinating vendor placement and logistics, and they’ve asked all participating agencies to complete a vendor form to help organize booth locations, table needs, and accommodations.

🦟 What You’ll Find at Our Booth

We’ll be there to:

  • Share mosquito‑prevention tips for homes, schools, and neighborhoods
  • Provide educational materials for families and residents
  • Answer questions about West Nile virus, Aedes aegypti, and seasonal vector activity
  • Highlight upcoming programs, outreach events, and fall services
  • Connect with the community we proudly serve

🎉 Event Highlights

MPD is adding new features and interactive elements this year, making Safety Saturday even more engaging. Expect hands‑on demonstrations, kid‑friendly activities, and opportunities to meet the teams who help keep our community safe.

💛 Appreciation

A big thank‑you to Ella Ivens, Community Engagement Officer with the Medford Police Department, for coordinating this event and keeping all agencies organized. Her updates — including the event map and layout — will be shared as we get closer.

We’re looking forward to seeing you on September 12. Stop by our booth, say hello, and learn how small actions can make a big difference in keeping Jackson County healthy and mosquito‑safe.

See you at Safety Saturday!
