On August 26, 2025, Aedes aegypti—a mosquito capable of spreading serious diseases like dengue, Zika, and chikungunya—was detected in a trap in Ashland. This is the first confirmed detection in the area this year.
We’re asking all residents to stay vigilant: dump and wipe out any containers that hold water, even small ones like plant saucers or bottle caps. Prevention starts at home.
