Jackson County Vector Control District is pleased to announce our participation in this year’s Talent Harvest Festival in downtown Talent. This annual community celebration brings together families, local organizations, and vendors for a day of fall activities, music, and seasonal fun.
You can find us at Booth #145 on S. Market Street, where our team will be sharing important information about the invasive Aedes aegypti mosquito detected in Talent. Staff will be available to discuss what this discovery means for residents, how surveillance is conducted, and steps the community can take to reduce mosquito breeding around homes.
Visitors are invited to stop by the booth to:
- Learn more about Aedes aegypti and local mosquito prevention
- Pick up a free fly swatter
- Grab one of our limited‑supply tick keys
- Bring a tick for identification by our expert, Andrew Partin, PHE
