Public Meeting Notice:

    Tip N Toss

    June 9, 2021 by JCVCD

With potential for rain in the forecast for the Rogue Valley over the next few days, we want to remind Jackson County residents to take a few minutes to inspect their properties and #tipNtoss anything that can hold water for 5 days or more. Some species of mosquitoes prefer to lay eggs in artificial containers and structures around people’s homes. Eggs are often laid in dry containers but remain viable for months or years until the container fills with enough water to contact the eggs and hatch. Remember that mosquitos can breed in very small amounts of water so even light showers may produce enough moisture to hatch mosquitoes!
